Our history.

C3 College was started in 1983, by Phil Pringle. Pastor Phil had started Christian City Church in 1980 and the rapidly growing church needed to train and equip leaders. Starting as a part time College with 8 students gathered around a heater in a cold catholic church hall, C3 College grew with the church. 

In the early 2000’s C3 College became a Registered Training Organisation under the Australian Vocational Education System. C3 College began running accredited Ministry and Theology Courses, Creative Arts Courses and Pastoral Care and Management Courses.  

C3 College attracted students from all around the world to come and study between 2000 and 2020. The College Campus was alive with Bible and Theology Classes, Counselling and Pastoral Care workshops, Worship and Music ensembles in our auditorium, Actors rehearsing plays , Dancers practising, Song Writers spending hours in our recording studio, film makers and artists. Many languages and accents could be heard as Christians from different continents gathered to be trained.

In 2012 Pastor Phil directed the College to begin to put its courses online at a time when very few Bible Colleges were considering Online learning. Over the next 6 years the Cert IV and Diploma in Ministry and Theology were produced for online learners using the state-of-the-art film studio on Campus and the best of C3 College lecturers. Carefully thought-out learning activities and assessments, readings and forums added to the online experience. 

When Covid hit in 2020, and the world stopped, C3 College was able to pivot. In 2022 the decision was made to focus on the online course due to its ability to reach people wherever they were without the expense or inconvenience of travelling to Sydney. 

Today C3 College trains people from every continent on the Globe. We have accredited and non-accredited courses available to strengthen believers and equip and train Ministers for the church of Jesus Christ. Students study on their own or in local church cohorts, and in either setting engage with fellow students from many nations through online learning forums. 

C3 College has trained over 10,000 people. Although we no longer have students coming to us On Campus, we now take high quality accredited training to people all over the world. There are hundreds of church planters, local church Pastors, Youth Leaders, and Creative and Worship directors among our Alumni, as well as many many influential marketplace ministers who are salt and light for the kingdom of God in their workplaces. 

C3 College exists to train people for their God given ministry with sound Bible teaching, robust theology and holistic discipleship. This all adds up to people who can lead for Jesus wherever they are called. 

What started with 8 people in a school hall now extends all over the globe through high quality, supported and interactive online learning.
